Help us fill an empty slot!
For issue seven, we’re trying something new! We purposely didn’t hire an artist for a page in this upcoming issue, and we want YOU to illustrate it! We are currently looking for artists to create the coloring page for the Julia Child issue—one of the most loved activities in the magazine. We thought this could be a fun way to discover new artists and expand our creative horizons. Interested? Keep reading!
To be considered:
-Create a full page black and white line drawing illustration sized at 8.75 in. x 10.75 in.
-Final image should be sent as a .TIFF file and in CMYK format
-The target audience is children ages 5-12
-This issue will be all about Julia Child, cooking, food, etc. The coloring page must fit the theme “eat the rainbow”—referencing healthy eating and colorful, healthy foods. Please see mood and style board below.
-Once the due date has passed, we will choose the artwork that will be included in the issue.
-If chosen, the artist may be asked to make some small changes.
-The chosen artist will be required to sign a contract before work is published in Bravery.
-The artist whose work is chosen will be compensated, credited, and will receive a complimentary copy of the issue when it is printed.
All artwork must be submitted by April 2, 2019, no exceptions. Artwork delivered after the due date will not be considered. Please email all images to firstname.lastname@example.org. The subject of the email must be EAT THE RAINBOW.
